I have sensitive ears. What kinds of metals are used on Anam Cara Clay jewelry?
All earring accessories are suitable for sensitive ears. We use components that are either 14K or 18K gold plated, sterling silver, or surgical stainless steel. Larger metal components are also coated in a preserving wax the creates a hard protective coating.
Are polymer clay earrings lightweight?
Yes! They are surprisingly light and do not weigh down your earlobes. On average, polymer clay earrings typically weigh less than a quarter (between 2-4 grams). Jewelry with additional metal components will weight slightly more.
Does Anam Cara Clay use a protective coating on the jewelry pieces?
Absolutely! The long term durability of our jewelry is very important! All clay jewelry pieces are coated with a thin layer of UV resin or a preserving wax that creates a hard protective coating. Metal components are also cleaned with an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner and then coated with a preserving wax. This helps to keep pieces from tarnishing too quickly.
I found an item that I really wanted to order but it is no longer available! Help, what should I do?
Anam Cara Clay makes jewelry in small batches with many pieces being part of one-of-a-kind collections, so it is possible that a specific item might sell out and we cannot reproduce more of the same pieces. We don’t want you to miss out new releases so make sure to follow Anam Cara on social media (Facebook and Instagram) to be in the know about upcoming launches. If you absolutely have your heart set on a particular sold-out item, please email us at anamcaraclay@gmail.com. If the technique and color palette is replicable, it might be possible to make a similar (but not completely identical) custom order.
Do you offer custom orders?
Of course, it’s one of my favorite things to create! If you are looking for a unique gift, bridal jewelry, bridal gifts, etc., then custom designs are a great option for something extra special. I meet with you one on one for a consultation to discuss the design process. There is a $10 deposit fee for the design session, and orders typical take at least 20-30 days to make before they are ready for shipment. If you would like to know more about the process or are interested in placing a custom order, please fill out the custom order inquiry form. Custom orders are not eligible for refund or exchange. If there is damage to the jewelry due to shipping, please let Julie know as soon as possible so she can determine if a replacement or repair can remedy the damaged jewelry. Do you offer wholesale or consignment for other businesses?
You betcha! Pricing varies on styles and current inventory availability. An assortment of wholesale packages are currently available. Lead time for wholesale orders are approximately 2-4 weeks. Consignment orders are based on current inventory availability.
