The Shenandoah Valley Art Center, a cultural cornerstone of downtown Waynesboro, was established in 1986 by local artists seeking exhibition space and a supportive community. As the only dedicated community art center and full-time gallery in the area, SVAC hosts exhibits and numerous member and community shows annually. SVAC offers weekly children's classes, summer art camps, adult workshops, artist studios, and specialized facilities including an intaglio printmaking and framing studio for its members.
